We are seeking volunteer Mentors for our EVolocity programme!
Would you like to share your knowledge, to inspire our rangatahi as they build electric vehicles during the school year?

EVolocity is the not-for-profit EV programme changing futures for Aotearoa and our rangatahi. Through mentorship and a hands-on learning philosophy, we are on a mission to break down barriers and inspire young Kiwis into sustainable engineering while fast forwarding New Zealand’s clean tech future.

At the start of the school year, intermediate and high school teams are given electric motor kits, some guidelines and resources to get them started. Alongside their teachers and mentors, students plan, engineer and manufacture electric karts and bikes – all with sustainability (and race day) in mind.

Since our inception in 2013, mentors have been an integral part of the success for our rangatahi. Becoming an EVolocity mentor is an amazing opportunity to help grow New Zealand’s next generation of engineers and sustainability leaders. Mentors work with the teams throughout the year – empowering students, introducing new ways of thinking, challenging any limiting assumptions, sharing valuable life lessons and much more.

As our programme grows, so does the demand for skilled mentors. Would you like to be part of the magic?

You may be a STEM teacher, engineer, welder, mechanic. An electrician, project manager or skilled in CAD Design. You could be retired or still working in your field of expertise. If you have time to spare and would like to share your knowledge and skills with school aged students in your area, we would love to hear from you. Please apply below or get in touch with Jo Morgan – Head of Partnerships to hear more jo.morgan@evolocity.co.nz 027 327 3356.
