EVolocity’s first National Rally Day offers an unmissable opportunity for students from all corners of the country to rev up the excitement with more action-packed racing. The event is open to all EVolocity teams to take part in time challenges, and showcase their amazing electric karts and bikes.

We are thrilled to be hosting our National Rally as part of the Hyundai Next-Gen Motorsport Day alongside world champion rally driver Hayden Paddon and Ace Motorsport!

It’s free to attend! – it’s also a public event and everyone is welcome to come along with plenty of excitement and fun to be had for all. Join us for an awesome day of electrifying motorsport!

Hyundai NZ Rally Demonstrations

Meet Hayden Paddon and his race team and and see the worlds first EV rally car burn some rubber alongside the 2022 Rally NZ WRC2 car winner, the Hyundai i20N Rally2 – both driven by Hayden Paddon.

Joining EVolocity teams on the track, Eva Hakansson, the world’s fastest electric motorcycle racer, with a world record speed of 434kmh in her electric motorcycle KillaJoule, and Bill Dube, global pioneer of electric motorcycles and creator of the world famous KillaCycle.

EVolocity Drag Race and Time Attack

This event sees EVolocity teams from across the nation compete in a series of drag racing and endurance events and there will be a prize giving ceremony at the end of racing.

EVolocity Vehicle Showcase

Team vehicles will also be on display for the public when not being driven, and visitors will have the opportunity to check out what they have designed and built.

The Celebrity Go-Kart Shootout

Ready for a head to head race between sports stars and media personalities? Who will take the title as the celebrities battle it out on the ACE Motorsport go-karts. Stay tuned to see our final grid for October. We could have some surprise names in there…

Live FSAE and Electric Rally Demonstrations

Auckland University will race their state of the art SAE formula kart which will set a bench mark time on the ACE Motorsport kart track for all else to follow. Complimented with the 13,000rpm screaming Crosscar, this group promises to make lots of noise.

Interactive Challenges

There will be interactive displays and challenges, and food and beverage will be available onsite.
