Ready to let your vehicle touch actual ground for the absolute first time? You don’t need a massive racetrack, a clear patch of asphalt, a closed staff carpark, or a wide courtyard is perfect for low-speed testing.
Before you hit full send, run these two essential low-speed checks so your build doesn’t lock up:
The Low-Speed Checklist:
The Full-Lock Turn: Roll the vehicle slowly by hand while steering all the way to the left, then all the way to the right. Are the front tires rubbing against the frame? Are the brake cables pulling tight or getting caught? If they are, adjust your steering stops ASAP!
The Drag Test: Push the vehicle in a straight line. Does it roll smooth and silent, or can you hear brake pads dragging and the chain grinding? Less friction on the court means way more top speed at regionals.
