evworld NZ brings together the entire ecosystem of EV (electric vehicle) enthusiasts to discuss the EVolution and the future of New Zealand’s transport.
For the first time in New Zealand, the ‘EV heroes’ who are driving this change will be recognised for their achievements at the evworld NZ Champions Awards.
The award winners announcement will take place over a cocktail function at the Vodafone Events’ Centre on Thursday the 7th of September, the opening night prior to the evworld NZ Industry Conference and show.
There will be five awards in total – ‘Most EV friendly Town of the Year’, ‘SME-EV Award of the Year’, ‘Fleet Champion of the Year’, ‘EV Sector Sales and Service Champion of the Year’ and the premier ‘EV Champion of the Year’.
The public will be offered the chance to vote on the ‘EV Sector Sales and Service Champion of the Year’ and the other awards will be open to submissions.
The ‘EV Champion of the Year’ invites third party submissions to nominate those in the EV community who are truly committed to championing change, acknowledging the dedicated efforts of those who share the dream of a eco-friendly world for transport.
The judging panel features three industry experts: Elizabeth Yeaman, EECA; Stella Stocks, AA and; Rod Oram, Business Journalist and EVangelist.
The awards complement the show in its aim to highlight the work being done to create a more sustainable transport future, helping the government achieve its goal of 64,000 EVs by 2021.
evworld NZ features a trade day including conference, exhibition and seminars on the Friday 8 September and public day with free seminars and exhibition on Saturday 9 September.
